Title: Deployment of a non intrusive Requirements Management solution from System to all project teams

Level: Beginner

Date and Time: 7. März, 14 Uhr 00 bis 14 Uhr 45

Abstract: A couple of years ago, ALSTOM Transport launched a set of activities at corporate level to improve its System Engineering process from the first formalized discussions with a potential customer to final delivery. The objectives have been to provide at each step of the specification, development and V&V phases, efficient methods and tools to quickly improve the process.

Requirements Management and Traceability are key parts of the System Engineering process, and the Certification context makes these activities mandatory. ALSTOM Transport evaluated, selected and deployed Reqtify, from TNI-Software, to support the Requirements Management process.

The paper will highlight prime reasons for this choice and present feedback from projects where the tool has been successfully deployed with a very good acceptance by system, software and hardware teams. The paper will also present how projects, already started with in-house tools, migrated to Reqtify with no impact (and even benefits) on their delivery schedules.
